"My relationship with Babbitt Bearings, Inc. began in the fall of 2009, when I needed to have some bearings repaired for an antique four cylinder motorcycle. The experts at Babbitt Bearings worked hand-in-hand with me on my application. Babbitt's staff educated me as to what needed to be done to ensure the integrity of the repair and the longevity of the finished product.
I have since worked with the engineers and technicians at Babbitt regularly to the present day. No job is too big or too small for them. Babbitt has worked with me to manufacture new bearings that have the ability to allow antique motorcycles to perform at modern highway speeds.
The proof for my customers and me was in our success with the grueling Motorcycle Cannonball event in 2012. Pre-1930 motorcylces raced from Newburgh, NY to San Francisco, CA, re-enacting Irwin Cannonball Baker's record distance run. Of the 85 bikes entered in the event with 16 different countries represented, 19 motorcycles finished with perfect scores. Of those 19, my 5 engines carried Babbitt Bearings, Inc. main and rod bearings, capturing the Class III overall title. Over a quarter of the field of perfect finishes was riding on Babbitt Bearings, Inc. bearings from Syracuse, New York. That is domination.
